Together Again: celebrating the works of Dora Wilson & Pegg Clarke

The current exhibition Together Again: Celebrating the works of Dora Wilson and Pegg Clarke officially opened at Town Hall Gallery last Thursday. Unfortunately, I as Curator, wasn't able to attend as I managed to break my foot the night before and am stuck at home in plaster and on crutches! From all reports, it was a fantastic opening and the gallery is really pleased to have received so many works from private collections as loans for the exhibitions. A big thank you to the private collectors and their generosity, it is a great opportunity for the general public to see these works. Thank you to Town Hall Gallery Collection Advisory Committee member, David Studham for taking this photos at the launch.

Also a big thank you to Dinny Birrell who was instrumental in obtaining many of these works from private collections. Also thanks to Castlemaine Art Gallery & Historical Museum for the loan of works as well.

If you would like to learn more about the two artists, there is a public program, In Conversation with Dr. Gwenyth Rankin, this Saturday 15 August from 2-3pm at the gallery. For more information about the program, please contact 9278 477o.

I look forward to being back on my feet and seeing you at the gallery soon!
