Preview of the new Community Project Wall!
As we announced a few weeks ago, Town Hall Gallery will have a wonderful new space - The Community Project Wall. This space is available for shorter exhibitions and free of charge to local artists and groups.
We've had quite a few enquiries and applications come in about the space. We are currently taking applications for the first half of 2014. You can download the application form here or email email@example.com for more information. However here are a few previews of this space which utilizes a beautiful space next to the Town Hall Gallery.
As you can see, visitors will access the main gallery and Community Project Wall when they visit the new Hawthorn Arts Centre. The project wall has a wonderful look and feel and is fresh and spacious with lovely wooden floors.
To give you some idea of where the Community Project Wall is in relation to the Town Hall Gallery and the new gallery shop, we've put together this little map (if you click on the image, it will enlarge). The Community Project Wall consists of the main wall, spanning 18.5 metres. There are 2 second walls which artists may or may not use, these walls are 5.4 and 5.6 metres. It's quite a bit of space!
So don't forget, applications for the first half of 2014 are due on 30 August so click here to download your form and be part of this wonderful new exhibition space!
