The Emporium at Town Hall Gallery

Hey there THGers, great to see you again! I trust that you’re just as excited as we are about the new Hawthorn Arts Centre and impending gallery relaunch.

We’re busily preparing to open our doors for November 22, but I thought I would let you in on a little secret. It’s called “The Emporium at Town Hall Gallery” and it’s our new retail store!
An example of the beautifully crafted wares of 'Made by White'

Located in the front foyer of the Hawthorn Arts Centre, right near Customer Service, “The Emporium” stocks so many delicious goodies from local and international designers and artists. Just in time for Christmas, our beautiful new store will open on November 22, so you can fill your brains and hearts with art and then fill your world (and your family and friends’ worlds if you’re feeling generous) with treasures.

Ellery Fox
If you aren’t already aware, Ellery Fox is Nina Cavicchiolo. The gorgeous Melbourne made and designed necklaces are full of life, colour and are a bold addition to any outfit. We are in love with the shapes and twisty-bits of Nina’s gorgeous necklaces. With new additions all the time, we’re proud to stock Ellery Fox’s beautiful objects in store. VIVA LA HANDMADE!

Supertrooper Studio
Supertrooper Studio has been on the scene for a little while now, so if you haven’t heard of them we’re here to rescue you from an embarrassing conversation later. Based in the Northern beaches area of Sydney, they are on a mission to celebrate Scandinavian design in every way possible. Their tea towels, posters and cushions are intricately designed and eye-catchingly bold. Cityscapes, animals and kitchen utensils are smacked onto their high quality materials and they truly do have something for everyone. One of our favourite items is the Melbourne city poster, the perfect gift for a friend or adornment for your own home.

Emerge Designs
The woman behind Emerge Designs is Emma Greenwood. Crafting beautiful handmade leather goods, we are big fans of her vintage postage stamp luggage tags, which will be in store from opening day. Emma is passionate about the fussion of leatherworking, jewellery and textile arts to make one of a kind wearable objects. We love the postage stamp leather belts and look forward to her exciting new Christmas range!

Made by White
Created by two sisters based in Sydney, Lyndsay and Kelly, Made by White is 100% Australian made and proud of it! We’ll be stocking their gorgeous brooches, earrings and necklaces that are quirky, cute and just a little bit too much fun. A favourite amongst the team would have to be the llama brooch - he just looks so relaxed and happy! Lyndsay and Kelly draw their inspiration from everywhere - from fairytales to nature and animals. We know you’re going to love their unique designs.

It’s almost mandatory for women in Melbourne to own a plethora of tights and leggings, and to wear them regardless of the day or season. We have become obsessed with OK OK, the brainchild of Emina Dzananovic, who started the brand in Melbourne’s northern suburbs in 2007. Designed in Melbourne, OK OK creates high end hosiery with flair - think great patterns, unique colours and a bit of sparkle.

Where do I begin?! We have some amazing products in store for you. From beloved favourites like Moleskine and Claire Fontaine, to surprise new additions, we’ll have you covered for all things writerly. We love words and we love writing, so you’ll be in safe hands with us.

Did I mention we will also have some gorgeous Palamino pencil sets? Yes, that’s right, only the best for our THGers. We’re working with some amazing suppliers to ensure that only the most high quality paper goods and drawing utensils will be at “The Emporium”.

We are still receiving stock and look forward to sharing all of our gorgeous products with you soon. “The Emporium” will be open during gallery hours from November 22 2013, so make sure you drop by and check it out!
