Town Hall Gallery is re-opening tomorrow with our new exhibition Living Culture: an important way forward. This exhibition is presented by Outback Aboriginal Art. Formed in 1992 by Hawthorn resident, Ms Jennifer Dudley, Outback Aboriginal Art aims to exhibit and promote the works of both established and emerging Aboriginal artists.

This exhibition is a celebration of the skills that maintain a cultural tradition and an opportunity to experience the creativity of Central and Western desert artists through an array of paintings and textiles. A Way Forward includes a cross cultural project with artists from the traditional Anangu Pitjantjatjara/ Yankunytatjara Lands in remote central Australia with artisan from Kashmir, Peru and Nepal.

Discover more about the works on display as Jennifer Dudley presents a floor talk and tour on Saturday 17 April from 2pm to 3pm. This talk is free to attend.
