A Look at the New Town Hall Gallery

Senior Curator Mardi Nowak in new gallery.

We still have some work to do (and some painting... look at that pillar!) but here is how one of the new gallery spaces at Town Hall Gallery is looking.  This is Gallery 1, which has approximately 38 running metres and 135 square metres.  It looks pretty big here when it is empty!  The new gallery will feature three gallery spaces, allowing us to break up works and provide our visitors with an opportunity to view larger exhibitions in new and exciting ways.

Town Hall Gallery will be reopening to the public on Friday 22 November, 2013. Our first exhibition Marker: 10 Years of the Town Hall Gallery Collection will feature many new acquisitions that haven't had the opportunity to be seen by the public.  You can read more about Marker on the exhibitions page.

Don't forget that we are still taking applications to exhibit as part of the Community Project Wall for the first half of 2014.  The application form and information can be downloaded here.  If you have any questions about the Community Project Wall, you can email us at townhallgallery@boroondara.vic.gov.au
